Here’s a fantastic chronograph from the beginning of the 70s.

Darwil Mars 71 is one of the most beautiful chronographs from 70s, dial done in the “dash board” style, three-dimensional markers for hours, frame around the date window, color on the hands, tachymeter ring with engraved values, massive stainless steel case … absolutely beautiful watch in every way.

…and what’s going on inside, real delicacy, Valjoux 7734, a movement that the Russians copied and made cal.3133. which is built mostly into Poljot chronograph watches.

The watch was named Mars 71 by satellite Mars launched in 1971.

Darwil Mars 71 is made entirely of stainless steel, has an original  S. Marco bracelet with a Darwil signature on the clasp, it is a large dimension watch, more exactly 40mm wide without a crown, but it looks much larger because it is square in shape, 44mm high.

This extremely rare watch was not easy to find, but happiness served me…

… these present-day designers might have little to look at old school colleagues from old good times …
