In its history, Seiko has produced several generations of Sports series, the first models appeared in the 60s and were intended exclusively for the Japanese market, that in the 70s this model would reach its golden age. Seiko Sports still made today, however, it can’t be measured by anything with those models made over 40 years ago.
Quality durable and easy to service 6119 movement, massive cases, mineral glass and beautifully designed bracelets for each model individually make the design of this series never obsolete and it always seems attractive. There were many vintage models that carried the SPORTS inscription on dial, here is one from my collection made in August 1976. Model is 6119-8450
