Here is a Panda in incredibly well-preserved condition, I note that everything on the watch is original and that there is not a single after market part on it. This is a good example for you to see what a Panda should look like with an original hands, dial, bracelet, crown… so compare it to the one you want to buy and see if it is original or after market.
This mine Panda produced in March 1975, it is one of the beautiful Seiko vintage chronographs, although I think it is unjustifiably overestimated compared to other models from the 6138 series. Anyway this watch is one that every fan of vintage Seiko chronograph will must to have. As the years go by, its price grows more and more and there are less and less good ones on offer.
It is clear why this watch is called Panda.
