Today, finding the Breitling Navitimer 2100 (Pluton) in full working order is an mission impossible, I made it to find one boxed that i showed you in earlier posts.
I now present to you his successor Breitling Navitimer Quartz 3100 (Jupiter).
In the 1980s, when it was popular to have an analog digital watch, Breitling launched the second generation of its model. The difference between the two models is primarily in the movement (module) that drives the watch.
The first generation has a built-in ESA 900.231 Swiss made module which in many cases it’s broken by itself and it’s almost impossible to fix it, if you find it fully functional today it is equal to winning the lottery. Most often the problem is with the digital LCD part, the analog ones are generally correct.
In the second generation Breitling Navitimer Quartz 3100, this problem is almost non-exist, failures are much smaller, the module built into this watch is Pulsar/Seiko Y652 H461 or Miyota Y652 two jewel movement. This module, if faulty in your watch, is much easier to find and replace. Breitling Navitimer Quartz 3100 was being manufactured 1986-1993.
You can see the first and second generations in my pictures, watch is hi-quality build, all stainless steel, solid links bracelets, watch perfectly fit on the wrist.
I love both of these versions, but if I had to choose one then it would certainly be the first generation which is nicer to me.
Enjoy these unique photos…
